1986年にアーケードゲームとして発売された、アワをはいて、敵をつつんで、割って倒していくアクションゲーム『バブルボブル』。
アーケード版に新要素を追加して、1988年に家庭用ゲーム機向けに発売された「ファイナルバブルボブル」がNintendo Switchに登場！
オリジナル版よりも一人で遊びやすくなり、初代とは異なるエンディングを楽しめるほか、新しい敵やシークレットルーム、隠しコマンドなどが追加されている。
Nintendo Switch版での新機能として、クイックセーブ・クイックロードや、ゲーム画面中に攻略に役立つヒントの表示が可能！
＜＜ものがたり＞＞
ある平和な村にバビー少年とベティーちゃん、ボビー少年とパティーちゃんという2組の仲良しカップルがおりました。
ある日、森へ遊びに行った4人はあやまって「魔法使いの森」へと迷い込んでしまいました。
バビー少年とボビー少年は、魔法使いの呪いによってバブルドラゴンに変えられ"バブルン"、"ボブルン"と名付けられてしまいます。連れ去られたベティーちゃんとパティーちゃんを救うには、地下200階にもおよぶ大洞窟に潜り込まなくてはなりません。この物語の結末は？それはキミ自身の腕にかかっているのです！
