FINAL DLC (?) OVERVIEW FOR HOT WHEELS UNLEASHED
2Possibly the FINAL(?) DLC out for Hot Wheels Unleashed outside of the Racing Seasons and the free monthly car for Hot Wheels Unleashed. Going over what is new from the three new cars that were added, a brief mention of the customization pack for the basement, and the new track module that is interesting for what it offers.
Like the Looney Tunes Update, I will provide separate videos for all three cars' time attacks, but I want to talk about how uncertain the game's longevity will be since the DLC is done for now until we get word from Milestone considering that the game is turning one next month. I feel concerned because Milestone has been radio silent on what is next after Volume 3 and the Jurassic World Racing Season. I honestly want this game to have more content, more QoL updates, and keep going on for Year Two.
In terms of what cars I want, it's mostly the cars that I grew up with from Highway 35, Acceleracers, Velocity X, and Battle Force 5. Those are probably the top 5 popular Hot Wheels sub-franchises from the past two decades. However, in terms of other cars, I would want to see more crossover cars for the game, but the biggest issue would be licensing, which would cause a nightmare. There are reasons why Disney owned cars (Disney, Star Wars, and Marvel) aren't in Hot Wheels Unleashed. However, the one crossover that I want to see happen is Speed Racer. Unfortunately, the license for Speed Racer is possibly the hardest one to get due to the ownership and who owns it now to get those cars in Hot Wheels Unleashed.
The most obvious cars that I want to see would be Krazy 8's, Sling Shot, Ballistik, and HW Prototype 12 just to name a few. Hell, there are still cars that are in the game's files that people are eagerly waiting for their release. I hope that the cars will be available in the near future. I hope that we do get a Volume 4 Pass and beyond what we already gotten for Year One. If it doesn't happen, then I want to say a thank you to Milestone for the content you provided for Year One of Hot Wheels Unleashed.
