86In a recent interview with ign. final fantasy 16 producer yoshida was asked about diversity in the game which features a European medieval setting. Yoshida answers this in a bizzare way that left people questioning why he answered in the way he did. This cause people to make jokes about how the lack of black characters in final fantasy 16 to how they reasoning was poor for the lack of diverse characters in ff16. Yoshida even stated that the story of final fantasy 16 story features diverse characters and not based on their skin color. Do I believe that final fantasy 16 racist due to the poor attempt yoshida made to justify the lack of a diverse cast of characters in ff16? No I dont think so though I do think there is a culture different.
