How could this have been hard?
I dunno why, maybe cuz of the heat or being exhausted from yesterday, but I was really tired while attempting this run at Gold Saucer. I wasn't really in a FF7 playing mood.
Too many Twitch runs?
NAH!
So yeah. For me, it's like an average of spending 4 hours of Battle Square prior to lucking out and getting W-Summon and Omnislash.
I changed gears in this fight by getting rid of the counter attack that was sorta useless since she didn't have a low HP, Curse Ring Powersoul, instead concentrating on using Mime and an Enemy Skill or Summon.
I actually considered having Tifa attack herself during the Hochu event, but with 5 materia missing and a limit break coming up, I decided to go all out. Not like it really mattered since the game was on slow wait, but still.
I later bought a Remedy, Enemy Lure and Pre-Emptive with what BP I had left and saved before I accidentally turned off Steam's FF7 and saved at the same and only save point in the Gold Saucer. It wasn't a lot of BP I'd be saving anyway, and I'd probably accidentally get way too much BP again trying to get Speed Plus anyway.
Other factors when playing the game:
If you play Battle Square on Disc 3, consider using the 2x/4x Cut, Ultimate Weapons and KOTR in battles mimed. I wasn't that bare and had the Mountain Chocobo to save me some breaks when mime, but still. I could've leveled materia a lot better i.e. the summons.
