Final Fantasy 7 Not Getting New Spin Offs But Rereleases To Support FF7 Remake Sequels
People are almost certain that square enix is adding to the final fantasy 7 compilation by giving us more final fantasy 7 spin off games which is far from the case. Final fantasy 7 instead will see rereleases of ff7 compilation titles such as ff7 before crisis, ff7 crisis core, and final fantasy 7 dirge of cerberus. Several things back this claim up, the strongest is that ff7 remake part 2 creative director tetsuya nomura had previously stated in an interview with famitsu that square is aware that people want to be able to play various titles of the compilation on current console hardware. Another thing to not is that ff7 crisis core 15th anniversary is this year. Ever crisis ff7 is a casual and convenient way for fans to experience all the game in one. Yet despite this, in nomura acknowledge that ff7 ever crisis doesn't replace or even make up for the ff7 compilation titles. This is why when kitase and nomura shared their ff7 25th anniversary message, I believed they were speaking on this and not adding new titles to the compilation. If square continued to add to the compilation it would defeat the purpose of both ever crisis and ff7 remake sequels.
