Final Fantasy 7 | The Kids Are Alright: A Turks Side Story - Book Review
EDIT: The book was published in Japan in 2011, but wasn't officially released in English until January 2019
"I thought my place in the world was gone, but the world is so much bigger than I ever realized." The Kids Are Alright: A Turks Side Story was a novel written by Kazushige Nojima (Final Fantasy 7 and Final Fantasy 7 Remake's scenario writer, and script writer for Advent Children).
The novel primarily follows Evan Townshend, a private detective living in Edge, and his interactions with the Turks and other employees of the Shinra Electric Power Company, leading to a confrontation with Kadaj.
Overall verdict: a solidly good read for fans of FF7, but very mediocre for non-FF7 fans. The book is only passably decent on its own merits, once all the FF7 references are removed.
