Upon entering Conde Petie, I noticed Zidane was all alone. As I've done many times before, I saw this as an opportunity to gain lots of levels and did just that. This video shows how I do it, and mentions of several methods and techniques you can use. Peridot is my primary way to restore HP. The amount of HP restored is 68*NumberInStock. Thus, if you have 50 in stock and use one, you'll restore 68*50 or 3400 HP. (Ore works the same, but it's 4 instead of 68.) However, peridot can only be used in battle. I use it when 600 HP remain or when full usage is possible (it doesn't fully restore the HP). I also use hi-potions and ores as needed. To get peridots, search the beaches for an enemy called "griffin". It drops them with practically 100% certainty (It's also worth about 2800 EXP (with level up).).
