During the Alexandria sequence there is a synthesis and few pickups to do. The synthesis is in petros notes (Angel Bless, Glass Buckle, Power Belt) and the pickups are both items on the dock while the ferry is arriving, immediately after the confrontation between Freya and Amarant, and the Lapis Lazuli behind the central fountain after the ferry.
DISCLAIMER:
This video contains enough information to complete a speedrun of FF9 using the Petro route, but should be used as a guideline rather than a strict rule. FF9 is a very variable game and at the time of recording I'm still learning intricacies and optimisations.
