Both Vivi and Puk finally arrived at the theater play. It began with giant spectacle and with loud music. Baku, the boss of Tantalus, was playing King Leo in the theater play "I want to be your Canary." After a spectacular battle against the king with many SFX, Baku's plan was eventual set into operation. The plan was to capture the princess and Blank and Zidane, both familar with plan, had to enter the castle without being discovered. In order to do this they played and sword fight and immediately ran into the castle without being suspect by the audience. Zidane and Blank took the clothes of some soldiers and so the operation "capture the princess" was in progress. Before they could enter the princess' chamber they met a person with White Mage cloaks. After further inspection, Zidane finally found out that the princess had been behind this cloak. Of course, the princess had noticed the masked soldiers and escaped immediately. And so the chase after the princess began.

The scene changed to Steiner, the captain of the Pluto group. He was ordered by queen Brahne to search for the princess, who left her seat before the theater play began. And so the search after the princess began.
