Final Fantasy IX Walkthrough Part 69: Howl's Moving Castle [HD]
It's actually called Ipsen's Castle, but Howl's Moving Castle always reminds me of this exchange my sister had with one of my friends a long time ago which cracked me up. It went something along the lines of:
"So I heard there is this castle."
"Yeah"
"And it's owned by some person named Howl, I believe?"
"That sounds about right"
"And I don't know why, but I get the feeling it likes to move"
"mmmhmm"
"Interesting, I don't know how I knew any of that"
Anyways, welcome back to another episode of my Let's Play of Final Fantasy IX! In today's episode of the Final Fantasy 9 Walkthrough, we find ourselves venturing into an inverted castle on the Northern part of the Forgotten Continent. We find our strongest weapons doing pathetic amounts of damage, while our weakest weapons provide us the most strength. How confusing!
We also lose a party member as he sets out to prove Zidane and his way of thinking wrong. What is within this castle, and how will it help us get to Terra?
For those of you who are a little more new, keep in mind the weak-weapons-are-strong-theory only applies to attacking weapons. Don't go crazy and equip things like Silk Shirts and Sandals on your characters or you're going to have a bad time!
Taharka is incredibly easy to defeat, but make sure you steal the Orichalcon if you can. You can buy it later, but it cost 17000 gil. Then again, with the current price of gasoline in California that actually sounds like a deal to me now.
