NOTE: there seems to be some stutter on diagonal movement but you're going to be moving horizontally / vertically most of the game anyways so it's whatever

There is a persistent bug in Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster creating a stutter bug due to the way the game's movement speed does not match the frame rate (unless you are playing at 80fps, if so, what's wrong with you)

This should work on Final Fantasy I - VI and make your dungeon crawling experience a hell of a lot smoother.
