The ++ represents that this was a bonus seed, after completing the original challenge they had a more difficult one ready to go. A few, actually, there were initially two extra tiers, ++ being the harder one, and then they made a third +++ tier. I didn't have time to do either of those during the week though, but I may go back and try them later.

I chose the right party makeup. That was about the only thing that really went right for me. Well, not entirely, but the biggest thing. I was able to breeze through TOFR, and even though Chaos had an obscene amount of HP he could soak, my party was ultimately able to drop him.

The problem I had was the big eye. Could not find one. Sat on different sea shrine floors for a while, even looked up where he was. Ended up having to hunt down the ship to finally get it... and then he taunted me by showing up on a sea shrine floor I accidentally entered. Don't be fooled, these games know.
