Three missions in a row in order to return to the real world. At the end, Mewt accepts that he has to deal with his problems and returns with Marche. Ivalice seemingly disappears but Marche and his friends have changed/gotten stronger.
Overall, this was a pretty fun ride. As I mention in the video, the story was straightforward which is definitely not a bad thing. There are deeper questions though about living in a different world, if the characters exist or not, and escapism vs dealing with your problems. The power of friendship is not just a saying as it definitely can help you overcome your problems. Ultimately it depends on the person in question whether to seek help or not from friends and family and whether to face the problem or not.
For gameplay, it's pretty satisfying having different characters wear different equipment and learn different abilities. I played quite a bit off screen clearing miscellaneous missions but it wasn't too bad. There's nothing too revolutionary about a turn based grid rpg but it's definitely worth a play.
Of course this is not the end of this series as there is post game stuff. I haven't decided what game to play next but I have some ideas so look forward to that I guess.
