Final Fantasy Tactics Dancer Mincing Minuet/Bard Battle Chant: Improvise Adapt Overcome Stupid Luso
A special thanks to @simul8rduude for inspiring this with an accumulate strategy. With big enough bravery (praise/steel) and physical attack, the dancer can do good damage (25) and then close in as a ninja, while going first with a headband to have higher physical attack than a monk. The archer bard can do similar, though battle chant will buff his bow as well (rousing melody can do similar with speed strategies should you use a thief’s steal or Mustadio’s aimed shot, but will buff regular bows but not crossbows).
I only have 80 bravery with my ninja dancer, so I’m really impressed with these results as 100 bravery could easily do 30 damage per turn (each physical attack increase buffed by 2), which helps late game, or throw/double attack when in range for a faster turn, similar to my archer (which just before Riovanes Castle, a Bracer is available for +3 physical atk, Hermes shoes for +1 speed to help vs Elmdor/Wiegraf, and you can steal/entice at Mandalia plain (by very low chance as I couldn’t repeat my vid to get human enemies that had this) random battles chapter 4 gear including thief’s caps, runeblade for magick atk, and Artemis bow (which you wouldn’t need japa mala for windslash bow buff, and slow dance may help with low level aim).
It took me a very long time and that suggestion to get this idea, which was faster than using the mime (which you definitely need someone with revive given their inability to do anything but mimic and attack (no abilities/hp boosting equipment though they grow hp well per level). High movement allows the ninja to close in or play keepaway with even move +1 for 5 tiles, which is also the throw distance.
This strategy also helps job farming for a slow arithmetician for those overpowered CT 5, Height Prime, and accrue JP (if aiming for onion knight job level masteries or dark knight/mime heavy grinding)/soulbind abilities as charge times are independent of the user (they just need tailwind to start their first turn sooner).
Agrias orator is OP as always due to good magick attack and equipment (diamond sword in chapter 3 before Icebrand is good for her, though can’t compete with holy, and I gave her beast tongue to showcase), let alone she is slow but has good evasion with that shield and her holy knight job. The flame shield works well with a ninja throwing a flameburst bomb to heal her (and I gave Agrias defense boost normally which helps a ton, though I could give her a better reaction ability than counter tackle if I need to). Unfortunately, the ice shield will not work with snowmelt bomb as it is water despite having a blizzard animation. The ice bow is also too weak to do anything though japa mana may boost the windslash bow.
I did want to show her enticing a dark behemoth (which I have a vid in my playlist for overpowered Almagest • Final Fantasy Tactics Exploits ). The red chocobo could work in my magickal refrain vid too, as choco meteor is based on their high magick attack (black chocobos may have higher and fly compared to ignore elevation, but they can’t take a hit with half the hp, and are slower, though if a high level one hatches, it may be worth a try and Agrias’ beastmaster gives choco meteor).
No idea why Luso threw rocks instead of poaching behemoths (his icebrand is good so the cutscene lies about it not working). I will call this a caravan strategy since I have a lot of versatility, and didn’t need to go through an arduous unlock of the mime. Couldn’t help but thumbnail the improvise, adapt, overcome meme when Ramza did the pose, so I included the cutscenes. Luso has lower bravery and faith than Ramza, but can learn shout unlike chapter 3 Ramza, and thus get Ultima from Elmdor’s assassins early in that chapter concluding battle (though based on faith he can just pass it to Ramza who has higher faith).
