Glad this performed pretty well on switch for what it is (some cutscene lip movements are a little off but I've seen worse). 20 second load times to boot, with about 7 for that door sealing that I edited out. Not bad compared to switch/prior gen ff9 which was about 30 seconds per battle (loading battles or going to different rooms in RS2 are instant).
The menus are nice with intuitive glimmer trees shown in battle by a lightbulb, like stun Slash. Tons of quality of life (you could get lost in this series easily, and RS2 was really boring for the original with pacing sped up) and good presentation/dialogue (role reversal being the empire fighting heroes).
Enemies were devil and tuatara. I am happy everyone gets a demo and $50 is a fair price (helps minimum shipping with physical). I did hear PC demo had controller problems but switch was fine.
I do hope Gerard gets stronger as even the united attack was under 20 damage, and no glimmer trees Still, his dad protected him in formation, which is cool. There is also a generation theme with new characters, so I can always luck out later.
