Final Fantasy V Advance Playthrough - Part 10 - The Library of the Ancients
On this part, our heroes visit the Library of the Ancients.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Before going to the Library of the Ancients, I suggest adjusting your party members' levels because if they are at the same level, you'll be in _*serious*_ trouble if the monsters in the library use their Level-based blue magic. For example, if all your party members have a level divisible by 5 and got hit by Level 5 Death, they will be wiped out in an instant and its Game Over. My secret to bypass this is take advantage of the desert southwest of Karnak where you fight a Dhorme Chimera. It's very powerful and you can get Aqua Breath from it. I recommend buying a lot of Flame, Frost, and Thunder Rods because you can easily take it out in one fell swoop if the rods are used as an item. If you want to adjust your party's levels, I suggest make three of them faint and grind up your surviving party member by fighting the Dhorme Chimera and break any elemental rods.
Now for the Library of the Ancients, the monsters here use level-based Blue Magic and I already got Moon Flute and Level 5 Death right before recording this video. The rest is history until I run into Ifrit, one of the recurring Final Fantasy summons. His boss fight is simple and straightforward since he mainly uses Fire-based spells, so make use of Ice-based attacks and spells and he becomes one of your summons after defeating him. As for Byblos, you have to take him out quickly before he gives you a hard time because he inflicts you with status conditions. Interestingly, using Ifrit on him triggers a different dialogue right before he dies.
I'll be back for more playthroughs this February. I gotta take a long break for now and I might need a change of plans.
