Final Fantasy V HD Walkthrough Part 141: The N-Zone Final/ The Power of the Void Part 1
After much grinding and deliberation as to what my final party jobs and stratagem should be I take the warp to confront X-Death for the final time.
This is my first time fighting X-Death. I had a hell of a time recording this last part because the graphics plugin I was using would always crash right in the middle of the ending sequence and so I would have to redo it.
It took me nine tries before I finally got a marginally lag free, non-crashing recording of the ending sections of the game. Using my strategy, which evolved a little bit from this shown version, I was able to beat this last boss in 12 minutes without much trouble.
We find X-Death waiting for us but we are already too late. He has obtained the power of the Void and plans to remove us from existence before we can cause him any more troubles.
His plans are foiled, however, but the Dawn Warriors and King Tycoon and thus the final battle ensues.
If you are not ready this battle can be pretty tough. However casting Guardian and Rock Wall is a very good way to start this battle. Try to conserve your MP right now, you will need it a lot more during part two of this battle.
Stick to using SShot and miming it with other characters. Do the same with any of the weaker summon skills, attacks, or abilities you have equipped.
After a while X-Death will morph into a new entity with five or six different target points. Starting from now make sure you have Guardian, haste, and Rock Wall in effect at all times. Do not bother with reflect.
Start off by having your summoner cast Bahamut and then having another mime it. Use this strategy with Coin Toss and another character to mime. Intermix this with attacks that hit all of the target points.
There will be times where Neo X-Death will use Holy and Flare. Guardian will halve the damage but heal anyway. Keep this up and once you cause roughly 25k to 30k damage to each target you will defeat him.
Now sit back, watch, and enjoy one of the longest ending sequence I have ever seen. I timed it on the walkthrough version of the ending; it lasted just under 30 minutes.
