Previously, the party visited the town of Crescent. They lost the Fire-Powered Ship, but they found the Black Chocobo in the nearby Black Chocobo Forest. Then, the party visited Bartz's isolated hometown, Lix, in the mountains near the Wind Shrine. At the Library of the Ancients, they consulted with Cid and Mid. Then, they went to the Desert of Shifting Sands. After defeating the Sandworm, they crossed the desert and approached the town of Gohn. They will now explore this curious town.

I check the current state of the Bestiary again before loading the game.

World Map (time 0:43):

The party resumes outside the town of Gohn south of the Desert of Shifting Sands. They enter the town.

Gohn, the Town of Ruin (time 1:07):

As the party steps into Gohn, a brief scene takes place. This place is desolate.

As they approach the stairway north of the town entrance, another scene takes place.

To the west and then northwest from the stairway, a scene takes place as the party approaches the northwestern stairway. Hold it!

The party climbs the stairway north of the town entrance for another scene.

The party follows the figure into the building on the north-central hill. As they approach the figure, another scene takes place. Look out below!

Another scene takes place as the party lands on floor B1 below. Fortunately, Galuf is not one to be left behind!

The party goes through the northwestern door. As they approach the panel to the north, another scene takes place. The party is teleported elsewhere.

Catapult (time 4:38):

The party arrives in the Catapult under Crescent Island in the southeast of the world. More scenes takes place. One involves Cid, Mid, and the Black Chocobo.

After the scenes, the party arrives in the Catapult - Passage. They cannot return the way they came. To the east, the party goes upstairs. They continue up through the next corridor.

Upstairs, they arrive in the Living Quarters. They go south to a rest area. Through the western door, they find a library. To the southeast of the bookshelves, they find a switch. When they try to push it, they find a message.

Next, the party enters the middle room, which has beds. They take the option to rest for free. Then, they examine the southeastern planter. They find a note with more information.

The party goes to the eastern room, which has a large desk. They examine the note on the desk. Aside from a childish note, they find another clue.

In the library in the west, the party examines the western planter for an event. Then, they examine the revealed book for another clue. Finally, they examine the switch that they originally examined. Now, they have the option to pull it. This unlocks a small treasure room!

The chests in the treasure room contain a Shuriken, a Shuriken, and the White Magic spell Mini. Mini inflicts the target with Mini or cures them of Mini, depending on the target's status.

The party returns north. Then, they examine the switch. This prompts an event in the Black Chocobo Forest above. Uh oh! After the event, the northern door is open.

The party continues north to a save room. The party continues through to the next corridor. They go east and then down the stairs.

When the party arrives in the Hangar, a scene takes place. They have found the Fire-Powered Ship! If they missed anything aboard, they can check again.

A little farther east, the party finds another type of ship. This triggers a scene with Cid and Mid.

After gaining control, the party goes down the stairs to Below Deck in the eastern ship. They continue down to the engine room. They chat with Cid for a cutscene with him and Mid. Then, the airship takes off!

World Map (time 12:55):

The player earns the achievement "Ancient Relic" for obtaining an airship.

The airship takes to the sky over Crescent Island's bay. The party gains control on the deck. They talk to Mid. When they talk to Cid, a scene takes place. Looks like a monster has tried to come along for the ride.

After the scene, it is boss time against the Cray Claw. This boss is very weak to lightning-elemental attacks. Not at all difficult. Upon its defeat, it drops a Frost Bow.

Another scene takes place after the battle. The ship lands in the Catapult.

Catapult (time 15:15):

In the Catapult, another scene with Cid and Mid takes place. Time to take the airship out for some exploration.

World Map (time 16:20):

The party gains control of the airship over the entrance to the Catapult. They land again.
