Terra and the party, now reunited, head to the Sealed Cave to try and stop Kefka from stealing more Magicite. As they approach the gate connecting to the Esper world, however, it bursts open, sending dozens of Espers flooding out. They quickly lose control of their amplified powers, destroying much of the Imperial capital Vector in a rampage, before going into hiding in shame.

Emperor Gestahl, seemingly humbled by the overwhelming power of the Espers, decides he is done with war, and entreats us to ally with him in spreading a new message of peace to the rogue Espers.
