In this section, we complete the Cultists tower. This is an easy place to die, so I do a lot of quick-saving. This is also an excellent place to learn magic. I spent a lot of time here with under-used characters, learning spells, and collecting treasures.
Afterwards, I spend a lot of time beefing up the party while fighting dinosaurs. It's really great for leveling up characters. Make sure to equip Espers that give +2 to stats. This will make your characters super-powerful, if you care for that. I certainly do. I love beating the crap out of Kefka's tower with super-strong parties.
Recommended for survival: reflect rings on all characters, plus spamming the Ultima spell, and higher levels for all characters. And quick-save, if you're playing the pixel remaster versions like I am.
Be sure to not miss the switch to the secret door (inside level 8 room to right of chest) - it opens a door below on level 7.
