This boss gave me alot of trouble until I completely reconfigured my set up. I went back to an old strat I used in Hard mode of the previous game. I made Barret the main healer, since his ATB recharges the fastest. Using Pray was a good way to keep health topped off for the party. He also does good damage from a distance. I also chose fire materia for all party members and some other tweaks like cloud being able to multi-heal.
