In this Final Fantasy X analysis we look at the remarkable 2001 title for Playstation 2 that marked the momentous evolution of the Final Fantasy series into games that featured voice-acting, advanced cinematics and full 3D gameplay. It was also among the most poignant and original stories to feature in a Final Fantasy game, with the fated romance between Tidus and Yuna and their attempts to live up to their parents, operating in an entirely unique world steeped in lore and symbolism. Many new generations of gamer were introduced to the JRPG genre with this accessible, more westernised title and it remains one of the best selling PS2 titles and best selling Final Fantasy titles of all time.
