The new trial unlocked via the Hildibrand quest line after completing the quest Truths Untold and progressing through Her Last Vow.

Main Tank in Phase 1 and then Off Tank in Phase 2. This was my first time.

This trial has you do battle with Gilgamesh And his best friend Enkidu whom is a Primal of sorts here in a way. It's not too bad but there are some things to note.

The battle is broken into two phases. Phase One has you fighting Enkidu and Gilgamesh. Don't bother hurting Gilgamesh as Enkidu will heal him. Both need to be tanked.

There are lots of moves to dodge but they are mostly telegraphed. If two players get a link then running towards the other player will cancel it. If not cancelled you will be afflicted with mini.

About three to four players will be turned into chickens who can't do anything but move. The purpose of these chickens is for them to jump into the Whirlwinds that appear. If they do not the entire raid party will suffer 4K damage. A non Chicken player can also jump in to prevent this but they'll take 4K damage, still if they can survive it it can be useful in a pinch.

Phase 2 begins once Enkidu is defeated. It's a not too hard. No real instant wipe mechanics just a lot of dodging, killing the adds he spawns ASAP. The main annoying mechanic here seems to only target Healers. Gilgamesh will try to chain them a Healer, preventing them from acting, being healed and giving them damage over time. The further away you are from Gilgamesh when he is casting the chain the weaker it will be. Kill the chain ASAP to free your Healer.

Healers are the main ones whom this phase can be a nightmare for. They also have to stay on top of healing the main tank since Gilgamesh's dancing attack will do a ton of damage to them and require healing fast.

To dodge most of his moves just stay in the areas not targeted or the parts of the ground that look normal. I find his sword moves were pretty easy to dodge IMO. But he will do them in rapid succession as the fight progresses.

Lastly...I wish they'd have voice acting during these cutscenes. They have the lip movements so why not? It'd really add to it IMO. Gilgamesh's voice actor is great and he does talk now and then in these trial battles themselves anyhow.
