Final Fantasy XIV - Athena, The Tireless One 🦋 Remix 【Synthesizer V Nakuru / 無來】
5This freshly-released Voicebank was back then, at the announcement, admittedly not a love at first sight of mine.
While HXVOC and GALENAIA are voices I definitely didn't have in similar fashion laying around, Nakuru sounded not that much different when compared to the other girls. The specific track I randomly chose to check out the VA's voice didn't help much either.
However, when I stumbled over Nakuru Aitsuki's comment about the Voicebank being what's left behind of her when she dies one day, I decided to listen to more songs of hers on YouTube. Those with deeper tones were much more my cup of tea. At that time, the first cover of the Voicebank was also released – and the performance in “Evil Bubble” was definitely to my liking.
So, over the following days as well as two more covers featuring Nakuru, I came to the conclusion that the Voicebank had sneaked into my heart, thus she got pre-ordered (with some issues considering DLSite's point-system as I needed something compatible with PayPal, but well, just say ViviOn Blue was in the end a great help).
This first remix featuring Nakuru on my channel had been prepared before her release as much as possible. “The Tireless One” was already something I had been wishing to cover one day, so it was easy to edit the two Piano-Midis I settled for plus pick the instruments. My program was causing some issues with random freezes, but that's not the end of the world.
Speaking of which, the activation-codes had been causing yesterday some trouble. A few customers – me including – couldn't successfully activate the Voicebank due to an error.
》I was strictly speaking not yet on Nakuru's release day as Österreich aka Austria is on a time-zone far behind Japan, so I assumed that would be the problem. (Of course, can't say for sure if my theory is correct; all I know is that I could indeed activate her once the date switched.)
As for the cover-art, I can't help but be reminded of Airy from Bravely Default even though it's meant to be an Athena-cosplay. Nakuru's hairstyle might be to blame here. ^.^”
P.S. Yes, I had finished this drawing before asking in UTAU's sub-reddit if someone would be okay with me drawing their character for a FullBody-Art-practise.
