This video was filmed right before stormblood dropped to help new players navigate by please watch both videos to be sure.
I am a Mac user that plays the majority of my FF14 on my iMac. I have played on PC, PS3, PS4 and a mac book pro, the iMac is a very different experience from the others. Thinking about picking up the game and own a mac? Thinking of just adding another platform and you already play?
computer specs:
late 2015 (bought it in 2016) 27 in iMac with retina (which is technically 5k)
3.2 GHz i5
was 8 GB ram when you tried it and when I grabbed this footage thought the footage is limited to the framerate of the capture I was seeing much better performance live.
I am now on 64 GB and it is noticeably faster. I am maxing settings just to do it and seeing no noticeable drop in performance.
Graphics is a AMD R9 M380 2048 MB
Not sure I needed to go all the way to 64GB to see this jump but this feels even better than before which was already a blast to play.
I have heard that older machines are experiencing some of the problems the old Mac release had and I'm looking into confirming it with some captured footage I can share to show the difference. This would be a very different change in my views even as a heavy mac user if they are not supporting people with machines under 5 years old that have the specs.
Specs during this video had less ram but I am currently running:
Late 2015 27 retina (5k) iMac
3.2 i5
64 GB ram
AMD R9 M380 2048 MB
1 TB fusion drive
