{ Note: This video-comment was written on the 15th January and the drawing was even done in last year, November. With that, the design for the rabbit-girl may not match the way Square Enix depicts the bunnies in the game, but only the ladies from Tactics Advance (2), since the Las Vegas Event hinted rather to designs coming from mentioned game(s). }

Viera are (finally) officially confirmed as a playable race for the next expansion, Shadow Bringers, while their Nu Mou buddies (TA-style) – according to the Las Vegas event last year – join the XIV-fun as one of the next beast-tribes.

Another remix of mine for celebrating (XII's Eruyt Village):    • Final Fantasy XII Eruyt Village - Fan...

As somebody who bought as a child / early teenager the new game “Final Fantasy Tactics Advance” and quickly fell in love with her very first human-animal-race, namely Viera, you have no idea how much their appearance / implementation in XIV feels like a huge success for me.
Not even as a girl, I was that much into bunnies – I'm more of a person for hamsters and guinea-pigs, although cats are my absolute favorite – but for an unknown reason, the rabbit-girls from Ivalice really got me. It's not only for their jobs- and agility-advantages, but also simply for the way they were, that they hopped into my heart and stayed there ever since. Furthermore, my first favorite Viera as a character wasn't Fran thanks to that, but Shara, although I do not like short hair on women. (Although Ritz is treated like a bunny-girl ingame, so you could say she's my absolute female-darling in TA. Male-darling is of course Montblanc.)

BUT that brings me to a hard decision: Will my main-character, Doom Rabbit, stay a Lalafell or switch once more to another race (and maybe identity)?
I always had a thing for both Miqo'te and Lalafell – Noire Luminae in XIV 1.0 was a cat-girl simply because of the decision to better play no chibi as a main – and only ended up with Cecilia Shirone being an Au Ra because the species was absolutely amazing / already out when I decided to return to the game. (Not knowing, that Noire – despite never having a sub – still existed on Balmung. I naturally settled down on Chaos because it's the / an EU-datacenter. Shiva's going to the new datacenter Light and so will I as well.) But my true FF-love is owned by the Viera-race – no matter how much I adore the triangle of cuteness in FFXIV.
In the end, the motions of walking / running plus emotes in general might be the final aspect of that decision. The final nail, so to speak. See, I have a cosplaying Elezen over at Ramuh, who looks pretty much like a Viera (screenshots of her featured in the remix I posted above), but she's still an elf no matter the outfit. She walks / jumps like an Elezen and possesses several emote-animations I do not like to behold. {You think cosplaying a Viera is enough? Pffft, try yourself and tell me, how satisfied you were.} So, if the Viera-race happens to annoy me in similar way, I stay a potato. (Guess what, I love the jokes meanwhile. I would miss them very much.)
