Remix Final Fantasy XIV Tempest Amaurot
First things first: I simply HAD to tinker a Midi / remix of this theme – and even though I normally try to not make the most absurd excuses for putting my arrangements into Harvest Lunatone https://www.deviantart.com/harvest-lunatone (a ka if it's not even from a spin-off, I won't place my stuff into the group), at least in THIS case you'll have to endure my craziness, because Final Fantasy XIV's newest expansion left me with so many feelings that I really want to share a piece of that passion with my HL-comrades.
I won't dive into 5.0's story here – I was already pouring the most important aspect of it into my video featuring my favorite moments with the Crystal Exarch x'3 – but what I'll have to mention, is, that Masayoshi Soken has this time created a Soundtrack that is so far entirely to my liking--- something that means a lot, trust me. When it generally comes to the overworld themes, my clear favorite is the Rak'tika Greatwood in terms of the music itself, but this theme here is in case of emotional stirring the absolute winner on the list.
-No matter if the regular Tempest, the piano-arrangement of Amaurot or the amazing version from the dungeon: That song makes my mind practically go back in time to the key-moments of 5.0's story-peak and gives me an odd sentiment mixed with sadness, melancholy, relaxation and content. Also, who would ever have thought, that a theme would make me remember some Ascian-scenes with another feeling than annoyance. (Seriously, Emet is / was an amazing character. Best villain – or rather, to match his side of the coin, best anti-hero in the whole game.)
Anyways, what's my explicit, character-relevant excuse to share this fanwork with HL? (Especially, after I'm normally VERY shy to show you any arrangements which use a Midi that I as an amateur made by myself.)
-Well, I tried to imagine Adelina as somebody who plays now and then online-games – why shouldn't they exist in a fictive world, too – but my first Gijinka simply doesn't fit this bill for me; that's rather something I could imagine Meline to do. However, I DO see the ducky to have a preference for their soundtracks, as some amazing pieces only exist because they were written for video-games. I myself like to listen to some OSTs despite never having played the responding games – my husband had shown me several tracks from his collections that were totally matching my taste although their origins were unknown to me – which is why a musician like Adelina can easily do the same. And so, I imagine she was listening to a few tracks on the internet and got inspired to create with virtual instruments some arrangements of these; this track here including.
My picture for the remix, by the way, is meant to be the small album which contains said tracks. For demonstrating that software she had used to create the pieces – as it's a product made by her father's company – people can get the little CD for free in Adelina's shop. ( Actually, my ducky didn't want to be on the album, but her dad and little brother insisted on that. x3 )
