Previously, the party did "Gone Hunting" and "Scraps of Mystery I" in the vicinity of the Longwythe Rest Area. Then, they headed south and arrived at Galdin Quay. Now, they will explore this area and attempt to hop on the ferry to finish up "The Errand Prince".
There is a bit to find around Galdin. On a bench along the northern border of the parking lot, the party finds "Oric's Culinary Chronicle I Entry 4: Partners" (time 0:12). Ignis learns the recipe "Fishsticks on Sticks". It requires Cleigne Wheat and Sea Bass Fillet.
There is a nearby weapon shop in the northwest (time 0:52).
In the south of the parking lot, the party finds "Orienteering Checkpoint F" (time 1:53). Its directions point to Orienteering Checkpoint G, which the party found near Longwythe Rest Area in the previous video. It yields the recipe "Battered Barramundi", which requires Leiden Potato and Barramundi Fillet.
There is also a nice photo spot nearby.
Down on the beach, there is a spot near two palm trees (time 3:17). It yields a Fossil Shell.
There is also a spot underneath the main bridge of Galdin Quay (time 3:29). It yields a Debased Coin.
There is another Fossil Shell along the beach to the southeast (time 3:48).
In the grassy area to the south, there is a spot that yields a Debased Coin (time 4:07).
On some luggage in the middle of the parking area, the party finds a brochure (time 5:20). It discusses Lunafreya's fancy dress.
Near the item shop, there is information to read about Galdin Quay (time 6:14). Information like this will now wind up in the Datalog.
At the item shop, the party picks up the "Memories of FFV" album (time 7:41).
On the bridge, there is a spot that yields a Metal Scrap (time 8:13).
A scene takes place as the party enters the main part of Galdin Quay (time 8:36). They meet a man who approaches from the docks. Reporting that the ferry is out of service, he throws them an Intricate Coin and identifies himself as a man of no consequence. Creepy guy. The party must now investigate the dock.
In the middle of the resort, they check in with the local tipster, Coctura, at the Mother of Pearl (time 11:02). She reveals some map information about Vannath Coast, and she has some decent dishes on the menu. The one that nullifies elemental damage sounds quite useful.
To the north, behind a planter outside the Galdin Spa, the party finds a Metal Scrap (time 11:53).
Noctis attempts a massage (time 12:21). Pretty funny.
To the south is the Quayside Cradle hotel. The 10,000 gil rate is nothing to sneeze at, but neither is the experience multiplier of 2.
On a circular wooden table west of the hotel entrance, the party finds Oracle Ascension Coin #004 (time 13:40). Excellent find!
On the main level, the party finds a volume of Cosmogony (time 14:11). The party finds the article "The Hexatheon", which provides information about this game's six summons.
A short scene occurs as they reach the dock (time 15:46). "The Errand Prince" complete! Each party member earns 50 EXP. However, as the rumors indicate, there are no ships setting out.
On the dock, there is a spot where Noct can sit down and look out at the island in the distance (time 16:07).
At the base of the little light tower, the party can find a Rusted Bit (time 16:29). Keep this!
Also on the dock, there is a snippet about Angelgard (time 16:36). It doesn't sound like the safest place to approach.
Another scene occurs as the party leaves the dock (time 17:37). A Brooklyn reporter named Dino will extort a favor from the party. If Noct chooses to listen to him, the party will earn 80 EXP. Dino wants them to acquire some rough gemstones from a spot north of town. This begins the story quest "A Gentlemen's Agreement".
On the bridge leading back to land, the party finds the Friendly Cat (time 19:55). Noctis assumes the cat is hungry, so Prompto recommends they fish for cat food. This begins the sidequest "Kitty Catering". The objective is to fish up an edible trevally from Vannath Coast.
On the beach to the west, there is a spot that yields a Star Shell (time 21:35).
There is a bait and tackle shop on the Vannath Coast (time 21:56). The Super Baleen fishing line is better than the basic Spider Silk. The Sweet Jamming: Flan is reportedly suitable for the Galdin Trevally.
