Finally, the next Final Fantasy game is available! Unlike the previous games in the series, Final Fantasy XV is an action RPG. This is probably because it was not initially envisioned to be a main-series game. It isn't entirely an open-world game, but the open-world area is fairly substantial. It just isn't as monstrously huge as Skyrim. My biggest gripe is probably the loading times. I'll do my best to edit out a good chunk of the loading.

As of the time I began recording, Final Fantasy was on version 1.21. I have a few add-ons installed, but the most critical is probably the Holiday Pack (free version). As its name implies, it is free, and it provides several useful goodies. However, you have to download it separately from the PlayStation Store.

I start out by showing the game's title screens.

Then, I set up the options I plan to use (time 4:00). Most notably, I will turn off the minimap rotation so that up is always north.

Afterwards, I start a new game and show off the tutorials (time 5:18). Noctis appears in a training room, and a friendly creature arrives to show him the ropes.

Noctis undergoes a series of combat tutorials (time 6:20). The first tutorial is Combat Basics. His combat partner is his friend, Gladiolus. Noctis learns how to defend. Then, he learns how to attack. Parrying, or blocking and then countering, is an excellent skill to master. After learning all this, Noctis can practice by defeating Gladio in battle.

Next, Noctis takes the Warping and MP tutorial (time 10:14). He learns how to blade-warp, where he warps wherever he throws his weapon. While locked on to an enemy, he can warp-strike to attack from a distance. The farther he is, the more damage he will deal. He can also point-warp to a marked location. Warping and defending cost MP. When Noctis loses all his MP, he enters Stasis, which prevents him from defending and warping. He can recover MP by taking cover at an obstacle. Point-warping also restores all MP. At the end, he defeats Gladiolus by using warp-strikes alone.

Afterwards, Noctis undergoes the Resistances tutorial (time 14:18). Resistances play a major role in this game's combat. First, Noct must attack Gladio to see that his sword doesn't do much damage. If the damage numbers show up in purple, the enemy is resistant to the equipped weapon or element. However, orange damage numbers indicate a weakness. Noctis has to try his different weapons to see what Gladio is weak to. Then, he receives a Javelin, which he must equip from the main menu. Gladio is weak to the Javelin. Next, Noctis learns about spells. His guide gives him some charges of the Fire spell. Magic must be equipped like a weapon in this game. Noctis will have to use Fire on Gladiolus. Afterwards, Noctis learns how to scan enemies with Libra while in wait mode. Noct's guide gives him some Ice elemental energy to craft into Blizzard spells and use against Gladio. Gladio will be weak to ice and daggers.

FInally, Noctis takes the Teamwork tutorial (time 20:37). Prompto slides in to work with Noctis. First, Noct learns about link-strikes. If he performs a parry or blindside with a sword, greatsword, or polearm, an ally may join in for a link-strike. Noctis also learns about telling his friends to use Techniques. A tech bar fills gradually during battle, and part of it is consumed when a friend uses a Technique. Noct must tell Prompto to use the Piercer technique. If the technique is successful and the enemy is still alive, Noctis can follow-up if the attack button is pressed at the prompt. New techniques can be learned in the Ascension menu. Next, we learn about the danger state. A party member who runs out of HP is not generally killed right away. They enter a state of danger, in which their maximum HP depletes. If Noct's maximum HP runs out, the game is over. When Noct is in danger, one of his friends can help him recover, or he may recover on his own. When one of Noctis's friends is in danger, he must rescue them to help them recover; they do not recover on their own. However, lost maximum HP does not recover right away. Noctis then learns about combat items. A party member can use items to recover. The guide provides Elixirs and Potions to help Noct and Prompto return to full health. Finally, Noct and Prompto can team up to defeat Gladio.

The description is continued in the comments.
