Final Fight is one of those titles that never made it to the Sega Genesis. This is despite other Capcom arcade games making the leap such as Strider and Ghouls n Ghosts, and Forgotten Worlds. Why Final Fight was not licensed and brought home is beyond me, the only thing I can think is Sega was betting on their own brawler. Streets of Rage. Maybe Sega didn’t want to muddy the waters by offering two brawling games basically against each other. Final Fight finally did see release on the Sega CD, for those that had the $300 add-on. That was a steep price for fans to pay even if it was much closer to the arcade. Now, over 30 years later, fans are fixing this and making Final Fight for the Sega Genesis, no Sega CD needed.
