Final Zone (FZ Senki Axis) - A Boring and Clunky Disaster on the Sega Genesis
In this video, I compare the Sega Genesis and Sharp X68000 versions of Final Zone, a 1990 mech shooter game from Japan. You might be surprised by how different they are!
Final Zone was originally developed for the Sharp X68000, a powerful home computer that could run arcade-quality games. But it was also ported to the Sega Genesis, a much less capable console. How did they manage to squeeze the game into a 16-bit cartridge? And which version is better?
Watch me play both versions and find out! I’ll show you the graphics, the sound, the gameplay, and the differences between them. You’ll see why the Sharp X68000 was a beast of a machine, and why the Sega Genesis still has its charm.
If you love mech games and hardware, you’ll love this video. And if you want more, don’t forget to like and subscribe to my channel. I post weekly videos on mech related stuff across multiple generations.
Plus, if I reach 5K subs, I’ll buy the Steel Battalion controller and games, and make a huge video on that. This is a rare and expensive device that lets you control a mech with 40 buttons, two joysticks, and three pedals. It’s the ultimate mech simulator, and I want to share it with you.
So, what are you waiting for? Subscribe now and join me on this mech adventure!
