Finally playing Mortal Kombat 1

Mortal Kombat 1 has finally arrived after a long wait since my reaction video. This game was released in September 19th hence it was less than a week I recorded this video. In this video I am going to play the classic towers whilst I talk about what is in this game.

Mortal Kombat 1, released in 2023, is a fighting game created by NetherRealm Studios and published by Warner Bros. Games. This installment marks the twelfth entry in the Mortal Kombat series and acts as both a sequel to Mortal Kombat 11 (2019) and the series' second reboot, following Mortal Kombat (2011). The game became available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S on September 19, 2023, while the premium edition was released on September 14.

Upon its release, the game garnered highly positive reviews from critics.
Mortal Kombat 1 offers a range of exciting features. It includes a story mode, online multiplayer with rollback netcode, and offline gameplay. One innovative addition is the introduction of "Kameo Fighters," unique characters separate from the main roster. Players can choose a Kameo Fighter before each battle to provide assistance, executing special attacks, combos, Fatalities, and Brutalities.

The game revamps Fatal Blows, initially introduced in Mortal Kombat 11. In Mortal Kombat 1, Fatal Blows can be triggered when a player's health falls below 30%. These moves become collaborative offensive maneuvers between the player and their Kameo Fighter, with both delivering synchronized attacks that include the dramatic X-ray effects seen in Mortal Kombat X. The Air Kombat combo system, featured in previous titles like Mortal Kombat: Armageddon and the action spin-off Shaolin Monks, makes a return, now refined for this instalment.

For single-player enthusiasts, Mortal Kombat 1 offers a plot-driven Story mode and the traditional Towers mode, accompanied by the new seasonal Invasion mode. Invasion mode blends fighting mechanics with elements of board games and role-playing games. Players navigate a game board, taking on challenges on each space they land on, earning rewards such as skins, in-game currency, or concept art. Each Invasion season, with its unique board and theme, lasts approximately six weeks.

On the multiplayer front, Mortal Kombat 1 provides various versus modes. Local mode allows players to engage in matches on the same console, while Online mode offers the opportunity to face opponents worldwide. Tournament mode facilitates the hosting of tournaments with a unified rule set for fair and competitive matches.
