Experimental features of the upcoming Minecraft 1.20 release are now available in 1.19.3, but you have to enable them when you generate your new world.

Click on "Data Packs" then click on the right arrow next to update_1_20 to move it to the "selected" column. Then create your new world. (You can also enable Bundles the same way if desired.)

Camels spawn naturally in desert villages. If cheats are on in your world, type:
/locate structure village_desert

to learn the coordinates. You can use tab-complete to type fewer letters. Click the resulting coordinates to teleport there.

You can also get a camel by typing:
/summon camel
or by using the camel spawn egg from the creative inventory.

As of Minecraft 1.19.3, you can enable these experimental features in your world. They may change when 1.20 is released.
