0Hear how Stand-Up Comic John Larocchia says laughter saves lives on this episode of The Jim Masters Show LIVE! series with award-winning television personality and host Jim Masters. \n\nOn September 11th, 2001, NYC Firefighter John Larocchia lost 19 members assigned to his firehouse (Haz-Mat Company 1 and Squad 288). John decided that he wanted to remember his brothers lost on September 11th and continue to be lost due to September 11th related illnesses. Like many firefighters, John did have a "side career." On his days off from the firehouse, John was also a Stand-Up Comic and Radio Personality. \n\nIn 2011, John established the LAUGHTER SAVE LIVES FOUNDATION and COMEDY TOUR, with the mission to provide assistance to First Responders around the country trying to overcome financial hardship due to an unforeseen tragedy or illness. \n\nThe LSL Comedy Tour produces high quality comedy shows for any and all types of organizations and is unique in that it utilizes comics that are members of the Fire, Police, EMS, Healthcare and Military communities on each show. They round out the show with other comics that work major comedy clubs all across the country. The goal of the comedy tour is to make people laugh and raise money for charities and foundations related to, but not limited to, First Responders, Military and Healthcare Professionals in the areas they visit. They do this as a way to remember First Responders lost on 9/11 and because of 9/11. LSL wants to show that laughter can change and save lives for the moment and for a lifetime. Before each show, the comics remember some of those lost by telling a story of a time one of them made us laugh or smile.\n\nJohn Larocchia, who headlines many shows and is featured on all of the dates, has been a Stand-Up Comicfor 32 years. For 21 of those years, John was a member of the FDNY, retiring in July of 2008.
