0This is an element where the comedy stems from, as well as how the developers are taking advantage of the fluid nature of working in someone's mind. However, since the player never has any control or input on any of these occurrences, it's only something to passively observe. The fact that anything could happen isn't by itself interesting, and even seeing whacky stuff falling out of nowhere isn't. Obviously, I wouldn't expect the game to turn into a sandbox where I could do anything, but I would bring back the example of the character customization that happened early in the game. More events of that nature, where the player has some input, could direct or pick a path from a few choices, would have given more zest and appeal, at least for me. For me, with how things work in this game, I feel rather steamrolled and drug along for the ride, as opposed to the person controlling what happens.
