This section of the game annoyed me, because it kept putting me into short mini-games that I had to participate in, with no chance to win from the beginning. The same effect could have been achieved from merely witnessing the results as he tried different approaches, without making me do the grunt work of pointlessly fighting a battle I can't win. This is especially annoying to me in a game that's so story-heavy, with so few game play elements. Don't make the few parts of the game where I actually play a game be a hindrance and have no way to win!
