I play it in Maniac Mode difficulty, a higher difficulty that is only available in the Japanese version.
Ironman means that I can't restart the chapter, all units that are defeated are lost forever. If I get a Game Over, I cannot continue and I am forced to delete the game file, create another one and start from the beginning.
NOTE: The Japanese version, is quite unstable so sometimes I will get error pop-ups (that doesn't affect anything) or the game freezes or crashes, and since there is no system like the ones Fire Emblem 6-8 has that saves your progress each of your steps. Unfortunately if this happens, I will have to restart the chapter, if I have lost any unit in that crash, that unit will be permanently lost even if you can choose it.
NBG, or No Bands Growth. If you have passed the game and play it for the second time, the game will eventually give you some Bands that will increase your stats growth depending on the Band you have equipped.
(In this case it does not appear, because I was able to delete the save files among others, to start as if I were playing it again for the 1st time).
In this case if they appear you will not be able to use the Bands. With the intention of making it more challenging.
These are the Bands that cannot be used:
