This is an optional stage where we can recruit Anna, who has shrunk considerably in this game, and gotten a new VA. It's a relatively easy stage, where we just need to advance on some bandits and catch up to thieves before the open the chests and run off. With Sigurd's extra move and Celica's warp, you can cut them off pretty easily. Obstruct staves are capable of creating a 1 HP ice pillar to bar off someone's path too.

The boss of this stage actually stays in place for the whole battle, which is rare. You can see she actually has a skill that says she won't move. That should give you an idea how many bosses in this move if this one needs a specific skill just to say that she won't. It also means she can't be forcibly moved, but we don't even have access to any means of doing that right now anyways. She's just a bandit with a hand axe, so not really a threat anyways.

Anna is quite frankly adorable in this game, and I fully intended to use her for a short while here, since Vander and Boucheron weren't fulfilling my axe user needs. But I just didn't have free spots to fit her in in the upcoming stages so she couldn't keep up with levels, and seeing her growth rates really put me off on her. Despite starting as an Axe Fighter, she has higher Mag growth rate than Str. So she'd just be middling for basically the entire game and forever trying to catch up. I really dunno what they intended for this character. I've only even found one magical axe in this game when I'm about 10 chapters past this point, and it's honestly pretty terrible. Its weight is high, it can't double, and HAS to attack last even when initiating battle. Even if I raised Anna and gave her that, I feel like she'd just die before getting a chance to swing it. And there's way better, and easier, options for magic damage. I just can't see any reason to use her unless you just really like her or are willing to grind her up in Skirmishes.

Also I got a Master Seal in this stage. In this game, you basically want to use Master Seals ASAP. You get better growth rates in promoted classes and you don't take much of a hit to your EXP game since the game keeps up with a unit's "internal" level rather than the class's. So basically, a unit that promoted into a Lv1 Hero at Lv10 will gain much more EXP than a unit that promoted into a Lv1 Hero at Lv20. I promoted Louis, so that I could get him into a class that uses axes and give him some much needed Mov as a Great Knight.

I should specify that I was only able to promote him into an axe wielding Great Knight at this point because I had the 3H bracelet. Because you see, you need to raise bond with Emblems to gain weapon proficiency, which is needed to promote into certain classes. But you go a damn long while without getting one that can use axes. Which is awfully annoying if you wanted to promote anyone into an axe using class before then. I don't consider that abusing the DLC, I consider that this game having a really restricting mechanic tied to promotion to make the Emblems more important than they ought to be. It's especially annoying since most of the Emblems are pretty standard Lords, so basically ALL of them have Sword Proficiency. They really needed to have some more variety with the Emblems, instead of making them all MCs.
