In this next review, I'll be giving my opinions on the first two games of the Fire Emblem Fates trilogy: Birthright and Conquest. If you want my preferences without watching the whole video, Birthright is more geared toward beginners, and Conquest is a more traditional and tougher Fire Emblem experience.

Edit: I forgot to mention that, if you're a beginner and find the whole "losing a character forever", otherwise known as "permadeath" to be too intimidating, there's a Casual Mode, where your units will return after the battle, and Phoenix Mode, where your characters return after the turn is over. In addition to that, there are still three difficulty levels, so there's plenty of room for both newcomers and veterans to customize the game to their experience level.

Also, Corrin is in Smash Bros. as DLC!!! As a bonus for downloading him, you'll also get Ryoma and Xander trophies in the 3DS version, plus a remake of Lost in Thoughts All Alone in the soundtrack. In the Wii U version, you won't get the trophies, but you will get both the original and remixed versions of Lost in Thoughts All Alone, plus the ability to unlock Corrin's "Torrential Roar" Final Smash trophy.
