Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
Playthrough | Endgame: Repatriation
Difficulty: Hard (3 Star)
We're in the endgame now. Yeah, seriously. Welcome to the final chapter of Path of Radiance, Repatriation.
Something to note is that if you are playing this on Normal mode, you get to choose one of the commanders to join you. You can choose either Tibarn, Naesala or Giffca. They show up on Turn 3. This is Hard Mode and for a good reason.
Anyway you need to pick and choose your best units. You'll need it for the final battle at hand. There are a lot of units here and two bosses to boot. The first is General Pryce who's armed with an S rank weapon, the Wishblade. Take him down and things will get easier. But the biggest threat is Ashnard himself.
This is Hard Mode by the way. You have to take Ashnard down twice. The first time, he has 60 HP but as long as Ike has his speed cap, you will NOT get doubled. Don't be afraid to have Aether clock in to deal major damage. Once you take him down, the fight isn't over. Remember, this is Hard Mode and in Hard Mode this guy refuses to surrender so he uses the medallion to boost his power. This alone makes things MUCH HARDER. Not really.
Ashnard's 2nd phase has his HP jump to 80 plus he will deal a lot more damage, at 60 attack. Anyone that can't harm him needs to get as far away as possible. You can have Ike chip away at him until he can proc Aether or the alternative is Nasir. For this to work, have Nasir armed with these skills: Adept, Wrath and Resolve. Having these will not only be helpful but can guarantee a takedown if you are lucky. Adept will give 2 consecutive attacks, Wrath will raise the user's critical hit rate by 50% if their HP is less than half and Resolve will multiply the user's strength, skill and speed by 1.5 when the unit's HP is less than or equal 50% plus it has a 100% activation rate. With all three skills active, you can guarantee two attacks with one or both being critical hits.
Once Ashnard FINALLY goes down, it's finally over. What follows is Ena confronting Ashnard's dragon who is revealed to be Rajaion, Ena's fiancee who went mad and was corrupted. Leanne and Reyson sing the Galdr of Release to hopefully help Rajaion regain his sanity enough for him to be by Ena's side as he passes on. Mist gives the Medallion to both Herons as a means of putting all this to rest.
The ending comes next.
