And here comes the backpedal. Welcome to Egg Engines in Extra Mode.
Remember what I said where things in Extra Mode become different. Well this happens at the end where you face the boss. Case in point, the Metal General EX. Beating him would end the level right? No. This thing decides to bring out the heavy artillery, in the form of a giant robot called HR-D3. If you are wondering, if you die in HR-D3, you restart there instead of Metal General EX.
HR-D3 is a giant robot operated by Metal General EX. Not only that but it's also a nod to a boss from the canceled Kirby Gamecube game. Interesting it's now full circle don't you think? It would appear in Kirby Mass Attack and eventually this game. This fight is a two-phase one.
Phase one will have him slamming it's giant fist and drill to the ground along with shooting eye lasers, rain down missiles or heat up it's arms for a spin attack. As long as you attack from a distance, you should do fine. But wait, it's not over yet. The next phase will have him seroiusly on the offensive. If you have a power like Mecha or Hammer, you can take him down quick since he does leave a lot of openings for you to attack.
With HR-D3 defeated, Metal General EX falls and our work is done. Part 19 has us heading to Dangerous Dinner EX.
