Fire Emblem: Thracia 776 Minimum Recruitment LTC - Chapter 16
14This is a seize chapter and the main road is flooded by enemies, some of them particularly dangerous, but they can be mostly avoided by taking the path in the mountains with the flyiers. Dean wasn't deployed in the previous chapter to be at a good starting position in this one, as he will be able to drop Leif in seize range by turn 5, and avoid all the ballistas on the way. That is, until the final enemy phase.
The boss area is covered by 5 ballistas, and Dean will be in range of a least 4 of them. With only the Kingmaker support, they have ~38% accuracy, and I can't really kill the boss without 2 Dragonpike crit, which is very unreliable since Dean doesn't double him. The solution was to carry Linoan all the way to the boss area, where she could provide her 20% support to Dean, both to dodge the ballistas and to kill the boss with a more reliable Armorslayer crit, while she is only facing 1% hit against said ballistas.
Eda and Karin are both in charge of carrying Linoan, as Karin will face some ballistas attacks and she doesn't want to carry anyone when that happens to lower the hit rate to an acceptable ~17%. Also, Linoan should spam her C-rank staff and as such must spent as few turns as possible carried, which is this case is 1 turn.
Another issue apart from the ballistas is Ilios with his Bolting. Dean is carrying my sole scroll as Leaf will need it to face the Killer Lance armors in the last enemy phase, and Karin has just enough stats to not die to a crit after an Ensorcel buff, but Eda has neither of these and will face a 76% hit 25% crit attack every time Ilios will target her. The only partial workaround I found against this was to use Osian as a bait, as he has enough stats to not die to a crit and can then hide on a mountain, but it's random whether or not Ilios will focus him instead of Eda, and in this attempt Eda was in fact the target.
The rest of the army was focused only on getting a healing target for Nanna, as well as visiting the Pure Water house. It was mandatory for her to get a double staff proc to reach C-rank staff, as the next staff she will need it for the next chapter and won't have time to use another Heal in the meantime.
