It is time for the Black Eagle house to be put to the test against some bandits in Auxiliary Battles. This can be good for levelling up some units, so the class lectures Byleth gave to his students will be tested in upcoming battles.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

We do some Auxiliary Battles and then do a Seminar, and fun fact, if you didn't talk to Alois this month, he will be available as an option, but I would recommend picking Seteth, or Hanneman if you want to work on Bows for some of your units. Seteth, Hanneman, and Manuela are your choices, and anyone that attends will gain skill points.
At the start of Auxiliary Battles, Edelgard gives us a tutorial on how to use Battalions, where you can use Gambits to stun opponents, and there are different kinds of Battalions, some that contain warriors, some that contain mages, and there are some that support teammates. You gain a Gambit Boost if any allies are near the opponent, and you get an extra effect.
I could go over each of the Black Eagles unit, and this house has a very rough start, but they can be reliable allies with a good enough investment. Starting with Edelgard, the house leader, and possibly your best unit this early on. She has strengths in Axe, Sword, Authority, and Heavy Armor, so she can go into classes like Brigand and Armored Knight. She has a Hidden Talent in Reason, although it is not recommend to make her a Mage, she has good growths in Strength and Charm, and her Personal Ability is Imperial Lineage, which multiplies experience gained by 1.2. Edelgard has the Crest of Seiros, which gives her a chance of raising Mt by 5 when using Combat Arts.
Hubert is Edelgard's loyal servant, and his best stat is Magic, and he is one of few units to learn Dark Magic. Hubert's Personal Ability is Officer Duty, which increases the user's Might by 5 when using Gambits, and his strengths are in Reason, Bow, and Authority, and he has a Hidden Talent in Lance. For recommended classes, Hubert should take the Mage path.
Then we have Ferdinand von Aegir, that line never gets old. Ferdinand has no banes, his strengths are in Sword, Lance, Axe, and Riding, and a Hidden Talent in Heavy Armor, so you can have Ferdinand be a Brigand, Cavalier, or any class you want. His Personal Ability is Confidence, which gives Ferdinand +15 in Hit and Avoid when he is at full health, so he can be a good unit, although he does have a rough start, and his best stats are Speed and HP. Ferdinand has the Crest of Cichol, which has a chance or preventing enemy counterattacks when using Combat Arts.
Linhardt is the healer of the Black Eagles, and he has strengths in Reason and Faith, so he is a magic user. His Personal Ability is Catnap, which will restore Linhardt's HP by 10% of maximum HP when he waits on the turn. His ideal classes are Mage or Priest, and his best stats are Magic, Luck, and Res, Linhardt has the Crest of Cethleann, which has a chance of raising Mt by 5 when using recovery magic.
Caspar might seem like a front line fighter, but he has a very rough stat, but once you invest in him a bit, he will become a reliable ally. His strengths are in Axe and Brawl, so he can make good use of classes like Brawler or Brigand, but he has an Authority bane. Caspar's Personal Ability is Born Fighter, which decreases the Avoid of adjacent foes by 10, so this can be helpful with having your other units get in some hits, Caspar's best stats are HP, Strength, Dex, and Speed.
Bernadetta has Persecution Complex for her Personal Ability, which gives her +5 Attack when she is not at full HP, meaning she can outdamage even Edelgard or Byleth. Bernadetta has strengths in Bow and Lance, and a Hidden Talent in Riding, so some ideal classes are Archer or Cavalier. Bernadetta's best stats are Speed and Dexterity, and while she might not be the strongest unit, she can be surprisingly useful, she has the Crest of Indech, which gives her a chance to strike twice when using a weapon, it does not activate when using a brave weapon.
Dorothea is another magic user in the Black Eagles, and unlike Hubert, Dorothea uses black magic for her Reason spells. She has strengths in Reason and Sword, with a Hidden Talent in Faith, she is ideal for the Mage class, I don't recommend a sword class, as Dorothea does not have a good Strength stat. Dorothea's Personal Ability is Songstress, which restores 10% of the maximum HP of any allies adjacent to her, and her best stats are Magic and Dexterity.
Last up is Petra, and she has strengths in a lot of skills, like Sword, Axe, Bow, and Flying, so she can make use of different classes, like Thief, Brigand, or Pegasus Knight. Her Personal Ability is Hunter's Boon, which gives her +20 crit rate when the foe's HP is below 50%. Petra's best stats are Speed and Dexterity, so whichever class you put her in, she can prove to be a very useful unit.
