Fire Rod Through Obstacles in A Link to the Past - A Wild Glitch Appears! #shorts
In The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past on SNES, it's normally not possible to shoot projectiles through square blocks. However, projectiles can pass through moving blocks, so if for example you push a square block and shoot your Fire Rod as the block is moving, your fire blast will travel straight through the block. This glitch has a very specific application in Misery Mire, and it makes for a great speedrun trick.
In the sixth Dark World Dungeon (Misery Mire) there are two adjacent rooms that each house two unlit lanterns. Normally to solve this puzzle, you would push all of the blocks out of the way in advance to clear paths which allow Link to access the lanterns so he can light them all simultaneously. It's not a ton of work, but it's unnecessary!
Instead, simply blast your Fire Rod through the blocks as you push them, and you can light all of the lanterns much faster. Once you solve the puzzle, proceed to the room on the right, fall down the open hole, and grab the Big Key.
Also? If a Wizzrobe spawns on or near a movable square block, you can push the block and the Wizzrobe will be pushed along with it. Never knew that!
