The new Debian 12.0 “Bookworm” based version of Peppermint OS includes the Xfce desktop environment. In the version that comes with the new Plymouth design , the welcome screen has been adjusted and the features have been removed based on feedback . While Peppermint documents are being updated, it is stated that some new features have been added. DThe stable version of ebian is based on the 64bit architecture of Debian 12.0 “Bookworm” and supports UEFI and SecureBoot installations. Peppermint Hub adjusts features added or removed based on feedback, while the recommended feature has been simplified based on feedback. While Kumo has been updated to use lua and the GUI has been simplified, Neofetch has been configured to use basic output (no logo). Calamares installer is said to remove installation packages during installation. Several Marawaita themes and Tela icons are said to have been added to the system.
