First Look - Sovereignty Crown Of Kings - Ep. 2 - Almost A 2 Front War!
*Note* Sovereignty Crown Of Kings is in Steam Early Access. There is still work to be done and more stuff to be added!
I consider my options and while I WANT to take on the Capital of my enemy, the forts would prove to be a difficult matter at this stage. That being said, I take over another province and hold back the tide of anger and hatred long enough to capture it and make peace. Just in time too as another neighbor decides to hate me and attack. Ohhhh, the fun of it all. Keep in mind folks, there are still things I don't 100% understand, so this will be a learning process as much for me as for you. :)
I've tried my hand, poorly, at quite a few grand strategy games. I've never been very good at them sadly. What I lacked for in diplomatic skill, or economic brilliance, I made up for with military genius in the Total War series of games. Sovereignty is quite different on that front and it should be a good test of what I've learned over the years. Here's hoping I only make a partial fool of myself! :D

What Is Sovereignty Crown Of Kings?
Sovereignty Crown Of Kings is a turned based Grand Strategy game, similar to games like Crusader Kings or Europa Universalis. The campaign map reminds me a bit of the total war games as well, though the combat is quite different. There are several different factions you can play as, each with their own unique strengths, weaknesses, units, and play style. Magic is alive and well in Sovereignty, along with different races from humans, to elves, to dwarves to undead. Tons of choices and more than a few win conditions with a "story line" win condition for each faction to boot!
My thanks to the folks at Slitherine Ltd. for sending Sovereignty my way. I was hoping to hop in and start covering this a while ago, but I learned quickly that I was going to need a bit of hands on with the game so as to make "less" of a fool of myself. Win, lose, or die, I'm going to enjoy myself!
