First Look - The Runes - Evicting Ghosts!
10*Note* I think I may have missed it in the video, but "The Runes" released on Steam's Greenlight section today. Head over and support the developers and get "The Runes" on Steam! The link to the greenlight page will be down below and in the video.
This is an interesting title. The Runes is a metroidvania game with open world exploration. There are no levels, character classes, or stats. What there is however, is a ton of spells to acquire and upgrade. The game is all about exploration, finding hidden secrets or dungeons, and sometimes secrets in dungeons. The story is somewhat cute and the gameplay's foundation is there. The game gives you very little direction and I've found myself on the wrong end of things TOO many times to count. Getting lost, falling into unsurvivable pits, not to mention lava, the dog mafia and more! There's a lot here for someone who enjoys finding out stuff on their own, taking their time and exploring the game fully. Sadly the scope of the First Look series is a bit short to show off the game's full potential.
