Two DPS build options for your first raid playthrough.
With TU17 came the inclusion of the Raid exclusive weapons Ravenous and Eagle Bearer to the Dark Zone general loot pool. Unfortunately the drop chance is extremely low so your best opportunity to obtain these weapons is still the raid. Also, if you want the Regulus exotic pistol, your only option is Operation Iron Horse.
There are a number of community Discord servers who have Looking For Group (LFG) sections and run the raids daily. I recently joined the Tuxedo Bandito community Discord for exactly this reason and have now run both raids. There are a lot of other YouTube content creators with similar Discord servers, so choose your favorite and get started.
I AM NOT an expert on raid mechanics but that isn't a requirement to get a raid completion; that will come with time and experience. On your first Raid playthroughs, you will be told EXACTLY what is expected of you; where to go, what to shoot and what not to shoot. What you do need is a good all red DPS build, Discord, a headset and microphone and the ability to follow direction.
This video will show two DPS builds; one that it relatively easy to put together, and the "meta" DPS build to work toward.
In both playthroughs, I am running the easy to put together build.
