This is the first part of a tutorial series that will take your knowledge about After Effects expressions to the next level. We start with the very basics and then get step by step to more advanced topics. The goal is that you get a deep understanding how expressions really works such that you are not just able to cut and paste expressions, but also to understand and modify them and to write your own expressions.

In this first part, you learn how to use the pick-whip to link properties in Ae. We also do some physics simulations with iExpressions and explain what expressions can do and cannot do in general.
