First Time Making A Game With Godot! (Isometric 2D Game) | Zaney Games On Linux
#Godot #GameDev
Hey everyone!
If you are new around here I make gaming content on and about Linux. I have always tinkered around with game projects, but as with many other people out there, I have never finished/released a project. With that being said I have made plenty of projects in both Unity and Unreal. However, those are both proprietary and bring their own caveats to using them. So I think it is about time I check out Godot!
A Little Bit About Godot:
Godot is a 2D and 3D, cross-platform, free and open-source game engine released under the MIT license. It was initially developed for several companies in Latin America prior to its public release. The development environment runs on multiple operating systems including Linux, macOS, and Windows.
So for those of you who need it explained more clearly. Godot is a completely free and open source game engine. That is royalty-free as well. It supports multiple platforms as well as multiple coding languages. It comes with it's own custom easy-to-use language GDScript.
